submission or summation? Anyways, neither make any sense [16]
Celestine, without getting angry, pls tell me the pg no. in the BT material where this is given.
Colours in complexes are decided by the constituents of the coordination sphere, right? So why do K4[Fe(CN)6] and Fe2[Fe(CN)6] differ in colour though coordination sphere is intact?
submission or summation? Anyways, neither make any sense [16]
Celestine, without getting angry, pls tell me the pg no. in the BT material where this is given.
Celestine, I referred through the BT Elite material and it's not given like that anywhere [2]

Another doubt: In group test for Group IV cations, Ni3+ is precipitated as green coloured ppt of Ni(OH)2.
In another test involving Ni2+, it is precipitated as Ni(OH)2 again.............but this time as green coloured ppt. Pls explain [2]
*IGNORE OR YOU WILL FORGET CHEMISTRY
THANX FOR THE CORRECTION SRI......IN GROUP IV, CATIONS ARE PRECIPITATED AS SULPHIDES AND NOT HYDROXIDES......SORRY FOR DISTURBING YOU [2]
[2][2][2] Everyone chose to ignore the new question? [2][2][2]
Does everyone hate this thread? Pls tell me. I'll stop posting. [2]

BTW, thanx for the comment, KR.
ya, u too live in tamil nadu......but u haven't threatened me (yet)
i think there is charge transfer between K+ and co-ordination sphere in the complex I which is lacking in complex II
wo ! wht a thread ! great work ani. let me add final twist to it.
there hs been a lot of discussion abt colour due to configuration of metal inside d coordination sphere. but,wht abt d one outside it.
Cu2 [ Fe(CN)6 ] → Cu2+ + [ Fe(CN)6 ] 4-
here, colour is due to the cation outside the coordination sphere due to shift in trasition state.
