Hydroxide of Al i.e. Al(OH)3 in presence of excess of NaOH forms NaAlO2 (sodium meta aluminate) which is soluble in water. But Fe(OH)3 does not form any other soluble compound in water
The hydroxides of Al and Fe are insoluble in water but NaOH is used to separate them. Why?
