hey abhi i have found the necessary condition for a chloride to answer

chromyl chloride test ....

.this test is given only by ionicchlorides....covalent chlorides of hg+2.......sb+2.....pb2+......and

the reason being only ionic chlorides are able to ionise in the soln ...whereas covalent chlorides dont....

hg2+ in aqua regia becomes Hgcl2.

this reacts with Sncl2 n oxidises sncl2 ...

khud gets reduced to hg2 2+ ..i.e. hg2cl2 .

and this further gets reduced to hg (grey)

1
AARTHI ·

B is NH3
