u can go through the arihant inorganic chemistry , its good , and also read N C E R T which is very good .
order of melting point
Au>Ag>Cu
well pls suggest sum gud book (other than o.p.tandon and maity ganguly) for inorganic.im horrible at it-
1)white ZnO on heating looses oxygen and becomes yellow due to defects in solid structure.no of defects increases or decreases with temp?is it zero at absolute zero?
2)formula of basic zinc acetate ??order of melting point of ZnF2,ZnCl2,ZnBr2,ZnI2??
3)what is peacock ore and mosaic gold?
4)order of m.p of Cu,Ag,Au?

order of melting point
Au>Ag>Cu
i thought so but ans given is Cu>Au>Ag.it may be wrong though..are u sure??
Cu=1083K
Ag=962K
Au=1064K
Cu>Au>Ag
for refrence se this

but wats da logic?i mean,we r not supposed to learn up all melting pts i suppose?or is it an exception or some property of transition elements?n wat abt da rest questions?
I dont know the logic dude,,,, and i too havent learnt all this....
let us wait for someone else goood in this part to reply..
