i think: hclo4 > hno3 > h2so4 > hcl.

in the book it says:

HClO4 > HCl > HNO3 > H2SO4

which acc to me too is completely wrong...but the main question is, can we compare these strengths?

i mean in solution, each is going to act as strong acid and dissociate completely in 1M solution..so what's the basis for comparison?

i agree with neil, i think we cannot compair,lets say in ionic equilibrium all these 4 acids are treated equally strong

if compairasion really required, try finding pKa values from the data in books
