Why not Fe3+?
In the test for Fe3+ radical, potassium ferrocyanide is used which gives a prussian blue ppt.
4FeCl3 + 3K4[Fe(CN)6] → Fe4[Fe(CN)6]3 + 12KCl
Formation of Fe4[Fe(CN)6] confirms presence of Fe3+.
