let m1 = mass of ice
m2 =mass of metal

wt of ice+ metal = upthrust

(m1 + m2)g = Vi * Ïw*g

Vi=m1/Ïw + m2/Ïw---------------1

Vol of water formed by ice V1 = m1/Ïw

Vol of water displaced V2 = m2/Ïs

V1 +V2 < Vi (Ïs >Ïw)
