A drop of water sticks to a glass surface due to cohesive forces between glass and water molecules.
But why does an air bubble stick to a glass surface under water?

cohesive force is the force between the same type of molecule.

adhesive force is the force between the different type of the molecule.

But this doesn't answer the real question [12]

sticking takes place when adhesive force is greater than cohesive force.the bubbles rise up the water bcos the density of the bublle is less than that of the water.
