I have two questions of friction :
1)Why is the coefficient of friction never equal to 1 or 0,but always between 0 and 1? What will happen if the coefficient of friction is EXACTLY 0 or 1? Please explain in some detail.
2)Polishing reduces friction,but too much of polishing will actually INCREASE friction instead of reducing it. Is it true? If so,why?
