two balls were dropped from a very high cliff one after the other with some time lag between them The separation between them remains constant during the course of motion please tell whether this statement is correct or not? If no, why?

let the time lag be t sec.
After T sec after second ball is dropped..
distance between particles = g(T+t)2/2 - gT2/2 which will obviously contain the factor T so the separation will not remain constant and rather will increase with time...
