on solving it we get,
a= 4g9
& T= 13g18

Anindita Roy i did not understand the second equation ... for whom is the equation ? if it is for the man wouldn't it be a+g/6 ?

Akash Anand @Anindita..one thing you are ignoring here is that, a and g/6 are in opposite direction so if you are writing in scalar form then you have to add a minus sign, hope you understand this now.

T= 7mg/6
