ya even i got 250 rotations..
A solid sphere of mass 2.5kg and radius 20cm, placed on a horizontal smooth ground is acted upon by an impulse of 50√Ï€ Ns at a point A as shown in fig. The number of rotations made by the sphere about its diameter before hitting the ground would be
(a) 100 (b) 150 (c) 200 (d) 250

this is not that tough..
see the linear velocity that it will get is
50√π/(2.5) = 20√π
angular velocity is given by
Iw=50√π.R
w 2/5mR2=50√πR thus, w =125√π/mR thus, w =250√π
angle of projection is 30 degree.
vertical component of velociyt is 10√π
time is 2√π
theta= wt = 500Ï€
no of rotations = 500Ï€/2Ï€ = 250
sorry iitimcoming..
Now I will leave some of them..
actually board exams have come.. so everyone is busy there.
so no new questions these days....
btw today they had chemistry.. I think it must have been over by now!
