For linear momentum we have to use integration,as velocity of each particle is not constant.
Linear momentum is mv=mwr
Now integrate from 0 to L:∫(M/L*∂r)wr=MwL/2
Angular momentum=Iw=(ML2/3)*w
Now ratio=2L/3=18.
A uniform rod of length 27 m is rotating through one end through a fixed axis perpendicular to rod.ratio of angular and linear momentum?
Options: 3,9,18,27
My answer is 9 but correct one is 18 which comes if we take MV=MWL/2
But I don't understand why we should do that
Please explain!
