rotational(HCV)

pulley's radius is 20cm and M.I is 0.2kgm2 .the string is attached to a block. spring constant is 50 N/m .mass of block=1kg.The system is released from rest with spring at its natural length .Find speed of the block when it has descended through 10cm.take g=10m/s2

is there any way other than energy conservation to solve this problem??

u can solve this using force equations(newtons second law of motion) but that is very difficult . conservation of energy is the best and easiest method to solve this.

i got the answer by conservation of energy.....
but
i thoght of trying something.....as
cant we do something like
T=Iα=Fnetr
in this case??
