Assertion - False
Reason - True
Assertion: A solid sphere and a hollow sphere are rolling on the ground with same total K.E. If transnational K.E of solid sphere is K, then translation energy of hollow sphere should be greater than k.
Reason: In case of hollow sphere rotational K.E is less than its transnational K.E

- Himanshu Giria y is the assertion false ...
- Soumyadeep Basu You can express the rotational kinetic energy in terms of translational kinetic energy using v=rw. Then equating their total energies, you'll get the answer for the assertion part.

K.E for hollow sphere=12mv2 +12*2mr2v23r2 (transnational K.E.+rotational K.E )
K.E. for solid sphere=12mv'2 +12*2mr2v'25r2
Equating the two we get,v<v'
Therefore,Assertion is False.
From the first expression,Reason is True
