QA particle performs harmonic oscillations along the x axis
according to the law x= a cos wt. Assuming the probability P of
the particle to fall within an interval from --a to +a to be equal to
unity, find how the probability density dP/dx depends on x. Here
dP denotes the probability of the particle falling within an interval
from x to x+dx. Plot dP/dx as a function of x. ?????

m unable to understand the question after the trying many times m also unable to understand the solution tooo

""'"the particle to fall within an interval from --a to +a to be equal to unity"""

though teh basic reamins smae ...but i slightly disagree with rahul...if there is air drag then there will be 100% chance that the particle will fall within that interval becoz then oscillation will be damped...the only way it cant be detected in the interval specified if some exteral force is applied (other than friction and air drag..which slow the motion) which tends to accelrate it out of the said interval
but net result reamains same what he said
"System reamins ideal" i.e only spring forces to be considered

arre noww m more confused at this statement too .........waise mujhe ye statement bhi samajh nahi aayi::" probability density dP/dx" BTW @rahul bahiiya the answer given is not constt........the answer is 1/\pi \sqrt{a^2-x^2} ....
