try to think why SHM will occur.. ull get the answer from there only.
If that doesnt work... displace it from equilibrium and see the forces and torques.. that should help

first of all just displace the plate frm original position ...
now as the bar will be in rotational equilibrium
apply this condition :
Σ(moments of all forces about centre of gravity of plate)=0
I think now u vil reach to ur desired result........
