Hey can someone pls explain this concept in simple words to me? I came across a formula saying time to empty tank is A/a√2H/g
Wher A is area of tank,a is area of hole, H is ht of liquid . Can someone pls explain how this formula is derived?

use equation of continuity

VA=va

V=dh/dt
and v=âˆš(2gh)

so
A dh/dt=aâˆš(2gh)

just integrate and solve
