See the tension in the string with the mgsinÎ¸ from the horizontal

At the vertical T = mv²/r + mgsinÎ¸
Max T =2mg
Now we consider the pendulum is left from the horizontal position therefore v = âˆš2gh
sin Î¸ = h / L
h = LsinÎ¸
v = âˆš2gLsinÎ¸
Therefore
2mg = m * 2gLsinÎ¸/L + mgsinÎ¸
2 = 2sinÎ¸ + sinÎ¸
2 = 2sinÎ¸ + SinÎ¸
SinÎ¸ = 2/3
