AIEEE 2015 Questions › Mechanics questions › wave problem

A copper wire is held at the two ends by rigid supports.At 30Â°C. the wire is just taut with negligible tension.Find the approx. speed of transverse waves in this wire at 10Â°C( in m/s). Given ( Young's mod= 1.3*10^-4N/m^2) Coeff. of linear expansion= 1.7*10^-5/Â°C and density of wire=9*10³ kg/m³ .

30 c??? 10 C???is it 10Â° and 30Â°? i m assuming that~!

i m getting answer as 7*10^-7 m/s
