i am confused...!
please show me some calculation hints..
how can be the speed of B = A when mass of B > A?
The track is frictionless. The block B of 4kg is lying at rest & block A of 2kg is pushed along the track with some speed. The collision between A & B is perfectly elastic. With what velocity should A start such that B just reaches at P? h= 4m.
Also find, in case of completely inelastic collision.

Arpan, this seems to be simple.. i dont know if i am overlooking something.. which seems unlikely...
first find the velocity of B after collision such that it just reaches the point P.
Then find the velocity of A so that velocity of B after collission is equal to the velocity you have found...
