if u get all 18 wrong(highely unlikely),and take xtra questions u can answer 6 out of 12 atleast,and will be on 0,so basically it is a marks gaining strategy with very less chance of loosing max 3-4 marks
1good score in BITSAT is said to be above 300(I got 310 last yr)
but if u want Pilani only then at 350 u get CS,345-EEE,340,Electrical,330-mech,310-Civil and Chemical

Any tips on how to build speed throughout the paper? What kind of questions do we usually get? Do they take time?
1practice at least 8-10 papers,standard papers,if u get Arihant papers it will be wonderful,never go for MTG,they are far too tough, I gave one of their tests last year and scored only 240 in that
and analyze the paper,best thing is that we know the pattern and Arihant papers have nearly the same level as Real BITSAT,
try and finish it atleast 20 min before,coz u have to aim at taking xtra questions in the real BITSAT
Maths contains 45 questions so try completing it in 1 hour
Chem has to be done very quickly,as it contains 40 questions,so should be done in 30 minutes(most of questions are theoretical and very less are calculative),Physics can be done in 45-50 minutes(40 questions)
English and Logical Reasoning can easily be done in 10-15 minutes
(15 questions),so this way u complete paper in 155 minutes,means some more time can be given in Maths

1but Akshay..one of my seniors [ BITSAT 2009 score : 375 ]..told me that the extra 12 ques are of jee level and so cant be done very easily..
1I took 12 xtra questions
they were of the same level
and one of my friends who scored 360 took them too,he also said they were of same level
1ok yaar..thanx...maybe it changes with person and ofcourse luck factor influences ur score a lot..so it may be difficult for some and easy for some..
39One more doubt..once you click on an option, and you find you clicked wrongly, can you choose another option from there? Or does the option panel become null and void?
1u can change it
u can even return to any questuion any time u want and change it
1there is even an option of marked for review for questions u want to check later(u can answer them and easily check them later)

1do one MTG paper,it is of very high level,but atleast u get feel of xamination coz of there software of BITSAT
