The answer to #11 is experiment, I think.
experiment is the 'doing' part. Rest are related to drawing conclusions.
Q 1,2 &3 are d,c,c.
@Manmay bhaiyya...this line " we shall soon exhaust the Earth’s resources "..points to a certain event (defined as effect). You have to choose the most appropriate "cause" for the effect.
Hence, D)

The true statement according to the passage is no doubt (d) because "others see the main concerns as political". Funny that the answer given is (c), because "exhausting the Earth's resources" means using them up, not "people feeling exhausted"..lol.
For the second question, it isn't inadequate but improper management of Earth's resources that is causing environmental crisis. We say we must manage our resources judiciously. Inadequate ka matlab hai "not enough". It is not that we are not managing our resources enough, hum toh over-exploit kar rahe hain!
Improper management stems from man's greed and selfishness(as per the passage, the other options don't match with what the passage says!). Hence (c) is the answer.
And just to clear things, the child-aeroplane example implies that we are not in a position to manage our resources because we don't seem to know how to(an aeroplane's controls are completely foreign to a child, and he may cause damage to the aeroplane by doing things without knowing).
For the third question, "scientific understanding is too limited to say where the truth lies". This does not mean that we don't have capable scientists. This means that they are not able to find the truth, no matter how capable they are. Their "objective analyses" are not bearing fruit. So answer is (c).
In the odd one out question, observation, assumption and hypothesis are theoretical. Experiment involves actually doing what is required. And phelps, a hypothesis can be drawn even before an observation is made....
I would suggest that for passages like these, first just skim through the passage. Then read the question. Now you go through the passage, underlining lines which seem related to the question. It helps you attempt the question better. Underline with pencil so that you can erase for the next question.
