1 wrong question of increasing and decreasing functions(where the function itself was not given) assured 6 marks on attempting but still had a long and tiresome test and not a perfect maths test i wud hav wanted.
how was urs?
ans verification needed:a family has 2 children,find the probability that both are boys given that:
1)atleast 1 is a boy
2)the elder one is a boy

quite satisfactory... but ya too tiresome.... any way was the probability question correct.... i wrote all rubbish in that question.. the rubbish yeild 1/4 which i'm sure is wrong....still wrote the rubbish such that the examiner does some mercy and gives at least 1 or 2.... the definite integral question was toooo tiresome... could'nt use property..... solved as indefinite and then put the limits....

checked with the mathematica... giving almost same answer.. hoping its correct....[2][2][2][2][2]

if i am not mistaken the second part of the question is a famous paradox.its answer could be 1/2. check this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boy_or_Girl_paradox
