FIITJEE says 174 and Reso 172
have they done no research at all
they might be wrong but marginally only not 20-25 marks
I don see cutoff going above 185
what cutoff u people expecting can it go below 160 as per the examination pattern , paper difficulty level ,increment of seats in IIT, mistake in heading in omr sheet.

Shouldn't fall tht much frm 178.
After being in acquaintance of many views, mera conclusion hai ki the cutoff range wud be-- (160-180).
160 se neeche nahi jayega [agar gayaa toh it'll be a miracle fr many :) ] ....& considering the fact tht seats are going to increase & also tht many might lose off in the individual maths cutoff,,,not forgetting all the disastrous blunders...the cutoff will most probably not rise.
So, with (160-180), v can decide the best & the worst coming up on may 26th...& also keep hoping fr some darn miracle. [3]
24@akshay...totally disagree with u...last yr score abv 200 was very rare here in our city...it was not that batch was bad...it was just a general scene...
but this yr almost everyone is abv 200.and exceptional students going abv 300 easily..so everyone cant be in there naa ???cutoff has to rise..also HRD though careless,,isnt a big fool to allow no negative marking and low cutoof simulteneously..i wont bet though [3]

1for sure vut off is 172+-3 .....n why r we debating it???no one among low marks wud be joining IIT i suppose?

1N ALSO CAREER POINT...CAREER POINT GIVING CUT-OFF AS 160....MIGHT NOT DECREASE TO THAT EXTENT BUT IT WILL DECREASE TO SOME EXTENT

1cut off will be arnd 140 becuz many ppl have marked all the bubbles in multiple choice qsns... which is wrong. so there is an expected drop of about 95 marks from the usual cutoff on an average.

1last time they took highest score of p\lowest studen....but this time individual cutoff is bound to increase...since the system has been changed....i think subject cutoffs should be 50 each atleast!!!

1subject wise cutoffs will most probably be same as last year. overall cutoff could decrease by a few marks.

last time bhi yahi hua tha paper ke baad,sab bol rahe the easy hai is bar toh 200 ke upar hai cutoff lekin wahi raha nearly jo hamesha rehta hai
21i think its gonna be around 170 as cutoff might decrease as no. of seats have increased but since this year it was formula based paper so bansal guys will be having a blast....and so this might counter the effect of increased no. of seats......
1i think the physics paper 2 was not as easy as people were saying
it seems to be a bit tougher brilliant tutorials has rated its difficulty level to 58%(highest in last 10 years)
3listen last time it was 178 and seats were 8000 something.....but this year it will surely decrease ..and seats have increased to 10000.....even my bansal friends are saying so

I think fiitjee always underestimates the cutoff and over estimates the ranks by a slight bit..
3this yr askiitians.com predicts 175.....they were accurate last yr too..
