no way my ideas will change............I am here t ochange this world and i wont die before i do that...........I may not get my photo published on page 1 on 26th may[2][2] .....but after some years becoz of my hard work i will create history,,,,,,
Heloooo
I am absolutely depressed and devastated ........that was the main reason I wasnt online for so many days.......
I am getting around 260 marks in JEE.......which is way below my expectations of 340-350....
.that means around about 1000 rank......[2][2][2]
I wont get Computer Science in IIT-Delhi which was my main aim.....so I have decided to drop a year unless I get into top 100 in AIEEE(though that too won't satisfy me)
Am I right????
As I don't have any intrest in electrical ,electronics,chemical.......and ofcourse not in civil.........So I dont have options left.........
Maybe C.Sc. from Thapar or DCE or even BITS could help.....

definitely u'll. let me tell u the li'l motive behind my title "The Race Begins"...
The world doesn't recognize u by what u were and what u r going to be in future. It only cares dat person who struggles everyday. Only that person will succeed in lyf who recognizes that his "Race begins" (for professional perfectionism) every morning as he wake up. The day he thinks that he isn't active in d race, he's out of dis competitive world.
Though many people say that success is not everything and all that matters is our struggle and hardwork, but the bitter fact of this practical world is that ...
"U aren't hardworking unless u win"
believe it or not, i haven't copied these lines from any source !
eureka .. but why rn't u intrested in other good branches as electronics and electrical !
ankit bhai....mujhe electrical, electroniics ,chemical nahin pasand.....mera to 11th-12th mein inke topics padne ka man nahin karta tha..........
koi aur dhang ki branch hai to bataa........
@kamal ya BITS is one option left.........lets see what I can do now.....
260 marks ne duba diya yaar[2][2]
Eureka.. I have no doubt that this is far lower than your potential. And that you can get a much better rank.
Inspite of that I am personally not very sure if this is the best thing to do...
I know you are too good for a rank of 1000 odd..
One more thing.. my experience at IIT says that branches dont matter much..
Hardly do...
Only that Comp Science is one branch the others are more or less the same. There are no or hardly any core jobs in Most(All?) branches that are worth taking.
So Yes you can drop (Knowing how good you are) but then you should wait for AIEEE and also for the final IIT results.
ya sir...........thats the reason I am disappointed........
1000 rank doesnt suit me at all............
and sir I truly respect ur opinion that branch doesnt mater...but when I dont have any intrest in electricals or chemical..then how will I be able to spend my whole life with it??
I agree wid ur views to a large extent !!!
see, when asked to select b/w brand or branch, a wise decision would be to select branch rather than brand. the tag of an IITian will be wid ur name for only 4 years (or say 6-7 years as an induced effect :P) but the tag of branch will be wid u forever. u earn ur living on ur course and not on ur brand.......... (i dont want to say more as i hope u know all this stuff)
now, if u get CSE in selected NIT's, i would suggest u to go wid it rather than taking a drop. also, if u get CSE in BITS, opt for it rather than dropping. 'coz BITS is also one of the renowned institutes in India. Put dropping as ur final option when u don't get ur desired branch in any of the renowned national institutes ! ; 'coz dropping an year is not dat easy job (not impossible though). during the one year of ur drop, controlling ur emotional status is not dat easy (even if u get max. support from ur family), i'm a dropper n i know what it takes to get through !! so better keep it as ur final alternative decision.
As of now, forget about iit's and jee. concentrate completely on aieee and bitsat. give ur best in both the exams. if u can get ur desired branch (CSE) in any of the famous institutes, then opt for it. if by chance u don't get through (which i guess will not be d case wid u, as i've seen u for these 4 months), then take a drop. !!! but give least priority for dropping an year !!!
All the best [1]
even some IT companies recruit bio tech students!!!!!!!!!!
dis s true..............
only a few ve interest in gettin into core ...........
actually sir my idealogy is diff........maybe its a bit immature....a bit childish but thats just becoz I have faith in my abailities.......
from post#3
""its the branch which matters the most....becoz i have to spend my whole life working with it........and i am not studying just to earn money and fame........i want to change this world.......I want to bring revolution with my ideas....""
and is thsi really true??????
""out of them less than 20 are pursuing a career in what their department was""
yes.. There is no doubt about that.. very very few pursue career in their department.
but yeah after seeing your motivation and dedication to get a comp science.. it is tough for me to say no to you (for dropping)
I mean it is avery tricky decision that you should ponder some more..
Sir ,
I lost out so many marks due to poor chemistry..........I am repenting that now.......but of no use....
eureka..
I think organic is the key to good chemistry.
Inorganic is tough to master easily but you should read some book properly either Arihant or JD Lee...
for AIEEE,,ncert is sufficient naa?????
abdul told me that yesterday......
I meant to say u have the experience....so u must be knowing from where do must of questions come.......
NCERT??
ok.......for IIT[3][3]
but sir one risk of dropping was in my mind that if next year paper pattern changes to subjective then wont it be difficult for me to cope with that???[2][2]
becoz for 2 years I have prepared objectively.......atleast 60% of the time spent,.I have thought about various shortcuts........[1][1]
No eureka..
If your concepts are right.. it does not matter.
I think there is no difference in an objective or subjective paper..
that should not be something that should worry you :)
