i m jus so fed up of my silly mistakes......they ...always pull me down ......be it any exam
i m conceptually quite strong.....but i lose the advantage bcz of stupid mistakes..
what should i do to keep my hopes alive in bitsat and dce...???

1yeah silly mistakes keep happening...but 100 marks is sumwhat heart breaking ;(( ill tell u what...my sir say, theres usually very little difference between a say 500 ranker(or less) and a 1300 ranker...what makes this huge difference of ranks is the way he manages his exam on the d-day...to be honest, its not fair...atleast i think so...ppl say its a game of silly mistakes...its a part and parcel of the exam...if u have been beaten by a guy(say less deserving dan u), due to ur silly mistakes, den u too must have beaten many more deserving guyz due to their silly mistakes....so this is a thing that often happens...its up to u to invent ur own methods to stop this madness...some of which have been advised by some guys...what this thread is proving out to be(i know its not of great use to us as far as JEE is concerned any more) is its gonna teach the juniors of targetiit a gud lesson...

9eureka its wrong to include unpreparedness and time factor into this area if thats the case ill be losing 113 marks due to those !!

sky too lost 100 marks due to mistakes....
but i lost 90-100 marks not due to mistakes...i lost them just becoz i didnt prepare well in chem...and didnt manage time in math section...

but the very next day i realised it cudn have been worse :(
lost some 100-120 marks! :( :( :(
though i keep making silly mistakes now n then but this was height... coz in my last few fjee exams in lost <15....
definitely no tips from my side...

btw aieee went well but i still am only intrested in IIT...i am trying to figure out what i can get with my marks..
u lost only 40 marks naa....i lost around 90-100 marks due to bad luck and poor planning..u can well imagine how i would have felt[2][2]..but thats life..sometimes its ur day and sometimes it isn't[1][1]

for instance i did solve hcv but i jus did it 1nc nd threw it away ....thou i did spend a day over it a week bfr iit revisin the problems i had marked
i practised hundreds of other sources but if u ask me i book that i hav on my tips .....i wont be able 2 name any.....:(

Silly mistakes happen due to lack of coordination b/w ur brain and hands...
Your brain has stored thousands of GB of information but when u use it in exam,the coordination is not there and as a result u lose marks.
The reason of lack of coordination in my opinion is lack of practice.
I know u would have given a lot of practice tests,but in my opinion giving tests doesnt improve coordination.The only way to improve ur coordination is practice.If u have joined any coaching class,then practice all the questions done in class atleast 20- 30 times before JEE.
If u r doing self-study,then complete the book u r doing seriously 3-4 times atleast.
For eg. if u r doing HCV,then dont do it just once and start doing other books..Stick to it and do the problems again and again,till ur coordination improves.In this way ur speed and time management will also improve.
Doing problems again and again improves ur coordination so much that sometimes when u r doing a question and u are about to commit a mistake,u get a feeling inside u that something wrong is going to happen....at that moment ur hand doesnt move further and comes to a standstill automatically...believe me it is true...
Since u dont have any time left now,so i dont know how u can improve on it...but plzzz dont lose confidence...[1][1]

"Silly mistakes" is a very common thing that atleast 70% of the guys giving JEE commit, and we all know how many ranks a single mark can cost....silly mustakes have been happeningfrom me for a long tym, and espeacially since the past month(for some strange reason)...my sir says, IITJEE is an exam , thats
"Easy on paper, but tough of mind"...this whole feel of giving a paper thats "gonna determine ur lyf" (so said), makes u do these mistakes...
ill tell u a matter of fact, firstly, what celestine said is a beautiful method to reduce this...
secondly, silly mistakes happen to us due to the lack of "presence of mind"...the best way to restore it is to constantly monitor your self...
after every test, check how many silly mistakes u make...
