i have confidence only in phy dude.......thats why i said phy first
chem i am improving..and i reserve special respect for math...thats why is said reserve max time for it ..[1]
HELLO GUYS!!! i would like to start this thread where everyone is free to contribute sensible topics and their analysis that is truly relevant for JEE 2010 .. i mean to say the things that we generally overlook, or areas where we commit unwanted but fatal mistakes,, important concepts and all that !!!!! EXPERTS are really welcome to this thread !!!!
i start with the fact that "we should study alcohols and carboxylic acids from organic chemistry in more details than aldehydes and ketones because these chapters are in good contention for a good chunk of the paper in 2010"...
........now continue guys!

Organic chemistry is very important
Aldehydes and Ketones, Carboxylic acids, amines and amino acids are important topics.
yeah maths req max time
i did maths nearly 1 1/2 hr phy 1 hr chem 1/2 hr
we should talk about physics.....i mean the chapters important for this year !!!!
Acc to me
Magnetism-EMI
Electricity-RC Circuit Part
Mechanics-Rotational Motion
Heat and Thermodynamics-Heat Conduction
Waves is expected much this time
I don think they will ask Modern Physics much this time
Optics-Lens part
if not physics, then the next most important section for this year is PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY. lets put our hands down and start something on this because it is really in good contention for over 40%of the chemistry paper this year !
Mole Concept Stoichimetry and Equivalence etc are most imp I think, other than these Electrochem,Ionic Equilibrium and Chemical kinetics
no eureka we shud not stick to a particular order
always start with the subject that ull score maximum always
some score max in maths some in chem some in phy
i started with maths , then phy ,then chem
@akshay ...you have mentioned almost the entire syllabus of phy chem
yeah there is need to revive it...
So what are the chances that assertion reason will make a comeback this year ??
And will teh integer type questions continue this year too ?
Lat year there were integer type ques , not assertion - Reason type ques.
So, this time probably chances are of integer , fill in the blanks or T/F TYPE ques are there.
i think they will ask on electrochem , and solutions more next time .....btw can any 1 tell me pls frm wher shud i do questions of inorganic??i hav JD LEE...but it is only theory purpose book .......
yeah plz anyone tell me
first of all how to use J D Lee?
last two years most of inorganic questions were from ncert itself
so should we still stick onto J D Lee?
jee 2009 physics had a comprehension from plasma physics, which can be marked as a portion slighly above jee level but still not too high.
what are the other topics in math, phy, chem of this sort?
like something just a bit high, but still can be asked and is of good deal of interest........
ncert is really imp...master it first...then read JD lee but only selected topics.....if u read its theory well then no doubt u will be able to solve any question that comes ur way...so dont worry abt questioons....
inorganic is all abt theory..so master it only..[]1
ya sure............
lets discuss about organic chemistry....
which named reactions (jee syllabus only) have highest probablity of coming in exam ???????
even i think heat conduction is imporatant dis year....
n as far as the oredr of doing the paper goes u can never really say wht luck has in store...i recently gave the briliant part test....where maths had coordinates.....i was fully determined to do maths first n score high in it...but the order i follower in d exam was chem----phy---last maths...because wen i first saw maths i couldnt solve a single sum!!!so its just depends wht luck has in the paper!!
and ya ronald conic sections will be relatively easier
if u know all the shortcut formulae like T=0 , T2 = SS1 etc
these formulae always apply for all conics
and dont forget to draw the fig using logic u can quickly arrive at a solution if ur smart enuf
keep revising the formulae every 2 months or else ull surely forget it
u guyz sure of the fact that kanpur is making the ppr.., btw, no matter who ever is 'making' the ppr, all that i can say, is , its the 'organisation' thats given to some iit, while the setting of the ppr is done by some other secret person(or iit) whose name isnt revealed, the iit given the responsibility wud only do stuff like centre allotment, posting acknowledgement cards, and all..thats all...this was what i heard when i interacted with some senior..
btw, this tym, i feel there is gonna be more of calculus in general, and more of equations, and series problems in algebra., if a passage comes, then u mite have one based on coordinate geometry.
the subjective questions wud be def. more difficult dan what we had dis yr. also u mite have assertion reason type coming agn. for physics, i wud suggest u to do ur electro dynamics and statics well..(as it hasnt been coming in a nice percentage for the past 2 yrs)..so cud come this yr in a gud proportion.
cheers!!
