Is it allowed to get 0 in part -B and score only in part A
In the evaluation of NSEP, is the total of Part A and Part B considered or only the score in Part B considered ?

Both
they'll check part B,iff u get a minimum cut off marks in part A
to finally have qualified NSEP, you need both the parts

yes i know of a person who selected like that.but you need to get exceptional marks in part A for that.

Part B isnt necessary
You need to qualify a cutoff based on part A only.
If you satisfy this then the list is chosen based on Part A + Part B marks
There is no cutoff for Part B. You can get any amount of marks in that (obviously not more than the max)
