1No.. Results will be out as on 26th May...as HC has refused to put stay..
1abhinav.....two simple words i want u to listen to "GET LOST" fromt his post!!!! we are supporting re exam here...so if u r anti....u can as well book a lodge near one of the IITS...find out who ur profs for first year r gona b ...n then u can part time work as their household helper...will fetch u better marks in ur semeesters........plz be intelligent enough to take the advice n dunt post anything mor!!
1@ ROHIT i have observed that who all are not supporting reexam are new to Target IIT so probability of being fake is also very high

no one can deny the admissionto candidates after they are selected in jee
that is why a "stay" on jee result was asked...
people are still fighting for the 2006 jee exam where 996 eligible candidates were denied admission
people are still fighting for cat 2009 massacre but the admissions took place

The Delhi High Court Wednesday declined to stay the declaration of this year's results for the Indian Institute Of Technology (IIT) exams but asked the institutes to explain as to why so many mistakes crept in during the all-India test.
A division bench of acting Chief Justice Madan B. Lokur and Justice Mukta Gupta declined to stay the declaration of IIT-JEE (joint entrance examination) result but directed the IIT to explain by way of affidavit how the mistakes occurred.
'Demonstrate to us the software with which you set these papers and also how the papers are scrutinised,' the court said when the counsel for IIT claimed that their system is foolproof and is up to standard.
The court directed the IIT to file an affidavit by June 2.
The court was hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) of a non-government organisation (NGO) that has sought a stay on the declaration of result of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) entrance exam held April 11.
Raising the issue of errors in the instructions for examinees who took the IIT-JEE in Hindi, the NGO, Satya Foundation, filed the PIL.
Chetan Upadhyaya, secretary and counsel of Satya Foundation, Wednesday submitted before the court a list of serious blunders in the IIT-JEE 2010 and said that instead of accepting the faults and re-conducting the examination, the Joint Admission Board was trying to cover up the issue with 'corrective measures' which are 'totally illogical and can't be digested by anybody'.
'The IIT-JEE board evolved corrective measures May 2 to ensure that genuine candidates were not affected by the examination errors. It formulated a point-by-point remedial action and posted the same on the IIT-JEE website,' Upadhyaya argued.
However, after dismissal of Upadhyaya's petition, he said he will approach the Supreme Court.
The result of the IIT-JEE is expected to be declared May 26.

1@ dip1 in 2006 iit kharagpur who conducted jee denied admissions to 994 or 996 candidates(i don't remember exact number) who had secured marks above the official cutoff of that year....since that year prof. rajeev kumar from iitkharagpur has been fighting for transparency in jee...apparently iit kharagpur illegally admittied some of their staff wards in iit who did not even give the jee paper....this happened at iit kanpur also though it does not happen at other iit's

They have never been active on this forum and for some reason or the other are trying to post messages here.
I feel that this is not correct. There are users here (more than 1-2) who have not posted any single post and have registered here after IIT JEE took place.
Which is also fine but i am writing this here because you students specially the old ones should not fall prey to such attempts by the users.
I am not taking any side on whether or not the exam should be reconducted except the observation that this was the "1worst managed" exam conducted by the JEE board ever. I am perfectly fine with the difficulty of the paper.
1Jaipur, May 21 (PTI) The Rajasthan High Court has issued a show cause notice to the Department of Human Resource, New Delhi and IIT-JEE Board on a writ petition seeking quashing of the entrance test for the elite institutes held this year on grounds of alleged dicrepancies in the question paper.
The notice was issued by a single Judge bench of the high court to the Secretary of the Human Resource Department and Chairman IIT-JEE board on a writ petition which has cited several dicrepancies like different instructions in Hindi and English in the question paper.
Even the allotment to a single question was variable in Hindi and English medium which had caused a loss of 40 per cent marks to Hindi medium examinees, the petitioners alleged.
1all my friends relax now. and enjoy life . just fed up of this topic. are yaar 26th ko result hoga. when the high court has ordered this u still believe in reexam. even though they approach supreme court the verdict will be in favour of iit as the court will see larger interest. also those real iitians who messed up due to instructions dont get disheartened prepare 4 the next year and if u dont have a year left dont panic iit is not the end of life.
i heard somewhere every suucessful man is not an iitian and every iitian is not a a successful man
1just hope something happens before 26 th may , because after 26th their is nothing that could be done , even if supreme court interferes in it.
1@all, just take a chill pill. There is clearly no use of cribbing over spoilt milk. I know what has happened is wrong. But take this, If u donot deserve IIT u may or may not make it, but if u do deserve it completely, ull definitely make it. cheers!!
1@gordo bhai : I completely agree to you about the chill pill .....that is what i am also trying to tell everyone.
But i do not totally agree to the second part - I know many of my friends who deserved ..maybe not CSE in Mumbai but atleast a decent JEE rank. and moreover I know of a particular one whom I expected to do as good as me (if not better) and the f***ed up thing is he might not make it even past the 8000 - 9000 mark and definitely that is useless......
I emphasise I am not at all protesting specifically against whats happened this year ...
its about the main focus of JEE ... they always do something that only the mentally tough can perform to the potential ......
and that makes me wonder whether they are looking for engineers to graduate from the IIT's or counter-espionage agents for the next world war.
PS : I have not mentioned my own debacle to not make these views seem biased.

1@philip, strong emotions out there. agree with you mate. know a lot of friends who didn't make it and had the potential. but later they realized just potential is not enuff, u need to convert potential.
@sunaina, now i believe its too late dear. i know there is a strong sense of requirement of a reexam. but still, they are a govt. organisation. besides, it may not be feasible to conduct it.

1we still have 2 months of holidays and iit can easily held exam by giving us only 2-3 weeks and now counselling is also online no offline counsselling from now onwards
IIt re-exam is fair for all
because brilliant students will not be affected
and also hindi students will be given a fair chance also

i respect everyone's opinion but think yourself to be poor who dont have money to study in private institution and the only chance they got also be taken back due to negligence of iit..
please be with them..i am only supporting their cause...
No matter if only english students get selected in re-exam at least they will get a fair chance

1...What a nice fairytale..... Though you are the auther of this tale how can you be assures jee re-exam(if held) wont cantain any similar errors.
1its not that students want time for preparation , iit jee itself is such a huge and wide ranged exam that it needs more than a month or two for the whole arrangements to be done perfectly (if an examination is to be conducted)
preparing questions for such a prestigious entarance examination which already has a reputation of being one of the most toughest examination in the world is again one of the most challenging task , and in such a short call they may again produce some other blunders in the paper ,which will be more disastorous then the present one .
thats the reason for which i think a re examination is not possible now.
(however was also in a favour of a reexamination.)
