@ nishant sir - maths paper had been difficult no dbt, but never bfore in mcq they asked so tuff qsns. This time, maths paper was above the stds JEE had set in the last 3-4 yrs. They never asked such qsns, and querty bhaiya is correct, I completely agree with him, they shud have atleast given some more space for us to do some ruff work, that would've eased a lot of things.
At the end of the day, say whatever u like, but the raw fact still remains the same, what remains the difference between fiitjee and iit, if they set mo qsns in the paper as mcq?
mai to fiitjee ko gaali deta tha, but I feel they were better in the same, at least fiitjee consistently set such qsns - but this is the first time I've seen IIT doing this!!!
Compare 2008,2009 and 2010 qsns, and then tell me where was maths tuffest.
I cud solve 90% of the maths portion of 2008 and almost 98% of 2009 - but even if I sit now at the cosiness of my own sweet home with the JEE 2010 paper, trying to solve it, I can't proceed with more than 60%.
And as Querty put it, JEE never was so mugging-based!
Whatever u may say nishantsir, u must admit 1 thing, and that is this IIT exam as the worst of the lot.....It is easy for u to say ""What is the fuss if there are a couple of olympiad type problems.. (they are very much in the syllabus)"""....I am saying what of the aspirants in the xam hall - those summations were quite doable, if u had accuarte space - there was hardly any space for rough work!!!
So let me tell u - what is the fuss if 1-page long solution-wala qsns were set in the qsn paper - there will be no fuss if u provide us the space to tackle them!!!
At the end of the day, u have to accept 1 thing and that is this yrs JEE was the 1st of its kind!
