u need to buy a book calld Piskunov... ull get it here... and profs notes are more than enuf da.... there will be tutorials also with difficult questions...
dnt worry bout books...
@Rocky, it actually kind of depends on which IIT you are joining. here are a couple of books i would suggest you to use.
1) Piskunov vol 1 and 2 (calculus)
2) Bartle Real analysis
3) Atkins (physical chem)
4) Natrajan (engg. drawing)
5) PK Nag (intro to engg thermodynamics)
6) Rajaraman/Let us C (C programming)
Now there is no need to buy these books, as i'm sure they will be available in library of the iit you are joining.
as far as the courses are concerned, i believe Bombay, Madras, iitg have some courses in common, like in math they begin with series and sequences, functions, and so on. but in iit roorkey, they have linear algebra and some courses in the 1st sem.
as far as chem goes, you will do quantom in your first sem mostly. Atkins is good for it.
any further questions, feel free to ask me
cheers!!
in library ,is there any restriction on taking books????i mean are we allowed to take limited no. of books from library ??????
