AND I'M STILL CONFUSED AS TO WHETHER MY HARDWORK WILL AGAIN BE REWARDED BY BAD LUCK , and so I'm currently [currently only as my BITSAT was 3 days ago only ]..doubtful whether I still have the firepower and CONFIDENCE to crack BITSAT..
Please , please read this with patience , maybe you can save a person's entire life by reading this thread quietly for 3 minutes
I'm writing this post with extreme sadness that my hardwork did not help me to succeed in engineering entrance exams [IIT-JEE/AIEEE/BITSAT ] at all .
History : I had started coaching for JEE-2010 [in a small insti] during April 2008 ,they never completed much syllabus and eventually by September , 2009 , I realised that JEE is not an intelligent decision considering the time left.I then , with 200 % sincerity worked towards BITSAT for about 4 months [ including the time after Board Exams ] , but luck never supported me and I got extremely hard questions [believe me , I'm not a fool to have all ques hard ] and ended up with 246..
My Stats :
JEE - 155 marks , disqd
AIEEE : AIR : ~27000 [ i never did anything for this and so i expected it ]
Kerala CEE : Rank : 1096 , Can get branch in the BEST college in Kerala -CETTrivandrum .
BITSAT - 246 marks [I am sure that I easily could have got 350..but It was truly LUCK that matters ]
MY QUESTION TO ALL , PLEASE ATLEAST ANS THIS , I BEG !!
-My ultimate aim is BITS [and not IIT's] esp due to the dual degree scheme and MIT transfers .
- This year I won't be repeating for JEE [or so it seems] as AIEEE seems closer to BITS [and AIEEE is inc its standards in prev years ]
SO WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE THINK : SHOULD I GO TO A DISTANT PLACE LIKE KOTA / DELHI [~3000 km] for repeating AIEEE/BITSAT OR PREPARE FOR IT WHILE ATTENDING COLLEGE [CET,TRIVANDRUM] ??
THANKS A LOT TO ALL
[ MOST PROBABLY , MY LAST THREAD IN TIIT :( :( :( ]

PLEASE NOTE ALL TIITIANS : I AM A BOY WITH HIGH DREAMS OF RESEARCH IN THE NON-CONVENTIONAL ENERGY SECTOR , AND THAT WAS WHY I WORKED HARD SO MUCH..AND THAT IS WHY I'M SAD NOW..
I suppose that , if i end up in local college [which is good only for placements] , I my end up nowhere.. :( :( :[
As per most people it is not viable wasting a year on something like Kota...it would be in your best interests to continue with a college(you have KCET backing you, I have nothing..) and study hard for next year. Luck will favour you next year I am sure. The bitter truth is 4 months isn't enough when you give your BITS near the end, because the trend is such that the questions become tougher. I might as well be getting 200 like you tomorrow, though if I'm lucky enough I could even score 380. I'm hoping more organic chem questions come.
See, we aren't brilliant students who by fate weren't able to qualify this year. Thus we shouldn't do something like Kota...in any case even those "brilliant" students shouldn't. But families in this country are obsessed with their childrens' success, and hence they send them to such places.
In all I would suggest that take a KCET college and continue studying for next year. In case you're not able to qualify again(God forbid), you'll still have a decent future with KCET. Kota will only be a huge waste.
Mind however that it will be extremely tough balancing college with studies. Only those who study bloody mindedly will succeed.
PRITISH yaar , i am asking u one more ques , pls reply..
If i study in CET , trivandrum ,after 4 yrs i may have to clear GATE , then IIT / IISc , then overseas reaserach insti's , which consumes an extra time of about 3 years ! and that much hardwork also..this is the emain thing that confuses me..PLUS
Bhai, if we hadn't flunked in the exams this year, we wouldn't be in this position! When you took science in 11th, I am sure you would've seen the amount of work people have to do to reach their goals, especially in engineering...if it takes extra time you have to accept and be prepared for it!
Though if there is any other option, I wouldn't be knowing...Nishant bhaiya would be the best to consult in this case. And what went wrong in BITS??
@Pritish , posted it in ur chatbox..it was basically luck..i'm sure that i worked 95 % well for it..that is why i say that i should have got atleast 350 [very serious]..still it was luck who dictated terms to me..further details in ur chatbox..
No, don't go for Kota for AIEEE/BITSAT. If your target is AIEEE/BITSAT, not much coaching is required. You just need the NCERT text books, especially for Chemistry and start reading. Basically self-study is enough. But you should refrain from distractions. You should subscribe to a test series and write periodical tests. Also, you have to keep the same level of concentration throughout the year. Its easy to say now but almost everyone will lose focus midway through their preparation.
So , can anyone tell me which is the best [ i mean 'BEST' ]..TEST SERIES FOR IITJEE/AIEEE/BITSAT ? WHY DO U SAY LIKE THAT ?
I would say FIITJEE (if they dont go to higher levels than they set this year)
