isoelectronic means 2 r more molecules have the same number of valence electrons and the same structure ,regardless of the nature of the elements involved.
i'm a IX student of an ICSE affiliated skool. Nd 2day while teaching the Atomic structure, my teacher said about some isoelectronic species. I didn't get that. will anyone explain me it in way i can understand??

isoelectronic= iso + electronic

i.e same electron in its configuration like
Na+,Ne,F- are isoelectronic wid 10 electron in their configuration

in greek language iso means same..
and electronic stands for electrons
thus two or more species having same number of electrons are known as isoelectronic species..those species may be radicals ions or any element it does not depend on nature of species...
i hope u have understood..
