number of nuclei present at time t is given by
N=Noepower(-kt),No=number of nuclei present at t=0
one mean life 1/k
so at one mean life N=Noepower(-k*1/k)
=Noepower(-1)
probability=number of nuclei presen/total number of nuclei present at t=0
so probability=N/No=epower(-1)=1/e

- Hardik Sheth 3 months...90 concepts...plz start...
- Akash Anand Well ..directly saying concept actually wont work that much. It will get appreciated only it is given via a problem. Else it will be another book of formula ..nothing else. And don't worry I am putting such questions to make your concepts crystal clear without saying is directly.
