At the end of introductions, Mr. Bajaj asks all others including Mrs. Bajaj how many times they shook hands and finds that each of the seven answers he received were different.
How many times did Mrs. Bajaj shake hands?

I'm seemingly getting a proof that there cannot be an unique answer to this problem.

Mrs. Bajaj shakes hand with all other people except Mr. Bajaj.

now the person who shook 6 hands , shook hands with everyone (who therefore shook each at least 1 hand) , except his/her spouse
so the guys with 0,6 shake hands are couple
the person who shook 5 hands , shook hands with everyone (who therefore shook each at least 2 hands) , except his/her spouse and the person who had 0 shake hands
therefore his/her partner would be the one with 1 shake hand
similarly , the one with 4 shake hands will have the one iwth 2 shakehands as partner
and this will leave out the one with 3 shakehands who will be Mr.Bajaj`s wife
so, Mr.Bajaj`s wife shook hands 3 times

So X is Mrs.Bajaj, which means Mr. and Mrs.Bajaj had the same number of handshakes...
Thus Mrs.Bajaj had 3 handshakes.
6its easy...apart from mr bajaj 3 men ...and as the question says that spouses dont shake hands thus only mrs bajaj shakes hands with the rest three guys...so that makes it 3...is it correct?
