he he........ k k k........ mayb.......
Thnx [1]
i think so the coaching institute person who set this question did the same mistake while solving it .. after all he is also a human !! :P
calculation mistake... :P hota hai kabhi kabhi... velocity of obj and mirror ek dusre ka le liye .. :D
@ priyam
Velcoity of object wrt mirror = -2i-j+7k
now velcoity of image along perpendicular direction is not changed and along normal direction is reversed
so v of im wrt mirror =-2i-j-7k
v of image wrt ground =2i+j-10k
Velocity of object wrt mirror = Velocity of object wrt groud - Velocity of mirror wrt ground = (4i + 2j - 3k) - (2i + j + 4k) = 2i + j - 7k // not matching with urs ..
It seems that ankit has solved it correctly
I m also getting the answer as 4i+2j+11k
where did i went wrong ??i used simple concepts ...
everything is calculated relative to the mirror .. i don't think it is bad to do so ...
by the way ! don't try to show off that u work out ur questions in every nook and corner of ur paper !!
i think i got the error .. i have not taken the velocity of object w.r.t. a fixed pt ..
tapan my answer is coming out to be A
please tell if correct ten i will tell how!!!!!!!!!!
Relative velocity conceptI am gettin 2 i + j - 7 k with respect to the mirror... Am i rite??[7][7]
yaar first keep the object speed 0 and let mirror move with Vm→ vector .. u will see that image is moving with 2Vm→ ...
now keep mirror speed 0 and the object speed Vo→ vector .. u will see that image is moving with -V0→ ...
now i combined both cases and got the answer .
11k coming .. 2Vm - Vo = velocity of image .. i think question is wrong !
