the fig pposted by atgs leads to the right ans which is 3.95......devika ur ans is wrong... uttara ..sorry cant see ur ans
so this boils down to
now we hav 2 find resis b/w A n B nothing else...
oh come on... lets put a smile on that face......from wat angle r u seeing that u r getting one more ans.!
This is kinda really easy. First we make circuit diagram. Dont ask me why I have split the middle part; it is how we do calculations in our skool. Actually i dont knw the actual reason why it is done.
For the upper triangle, net resistance = 12/7 ohm
Hence for the upper branch the net resistance = 4 + 12/7 + 6 = 82/7 ohm---------(1)
For the bottom triangle, net resistance = 56/11 ohm----------(2)
Now use parallel combination of resistors formula, and u find the net resistance of (1) and (2).
Hence net resistance of the entire network = 3.54 ohms.
yeh exactly.......and thus no current flows through r resistance system and so the resistance may be neglected
i think dat 6,8,14 are in parallel giving R.and 4,2,12 are in parallel giving r.now r and R are in series.
yup...subhomoy is correct.....jus short the wire along teh diagonal.....then basically it will be teh eq resis of 6,14 and 8 connected in parallel....
the above according to me is absolutely wrong....
answer is coming 168/61Ω
