[4][4] well CHI₃ is a yellow crtal ppt and the Q is about iodoform test

in 1 c) on basis of instincts ( i will giv solid reason after some more thinking [4])

i gave the same answers in You Know Where, KS......

simple answer for (1) : c ...because the nucleophilic substitution of halide atom can occur at favourable sites only :
(a) chlorobenzene : partial double bond character of carbon - halogen bond does not allow reaction
(b) vinyl chloride: unstable ts formation that raises the energy of activation too much !
(d) same explanation as in (a)
