what i feel is that the hydrogenation may be extensive and in that case, the benzene ring will also be reduced ! rest is ok !

can somebody suggest a better way to convert nitrobenzene to aniline ????

Sn/HCl is one method.
but here no extensive hydrogenation in presence of catalyst pd.moreover the other steps could not produce diazo salt if nitrobenzene would have been reduced

@ srinath : i think Sn/HCl is the best way to convert nitrobenzene to aniline.
