@ Bicchuram,
Asymmetric carbon should have all the four groups different, then how can C-3 in the 1st question be chiral since it is two same CH2 groups at 4th and 8th position.
Similarly in the 2nd molecule the C - 5 carbon is attached to two same groups CH2 which are C - 1 and C - 8.
How can these two carbons be asymmetric then ??
