1) An Alcohol , on oxidation produces a ketone with the same number of carbon atoms. When the Ketones is oxidized, it yields am acid with a fewer no. of carbon atoms. The alcohol could be:-

2) A compound with the molecular formula C3 H8 O , on vigorous oxidation, produces the acid C3 H6 O2. The compound id :-

Yup, Dono ke (b) are right....

1) 20 alcohols give Ketones on Oxid.n which wud split up into 2 acids on further Oxid.n.

2) Vigorous oxidation of secondary alcohols wud reduce the no. of carbons, n tertiary mein Oxid.n is not very easy ( hota bhi hai toh eliminated product dominates) ,So it is Primary as the no. of carbons remains the same...
