the ratio of molecular wieght of phenol : equivalent weight of phenol in oxidation reduction reactions shud be 4
see the oxidation state of carbon binded to OH changes from +1 to +2 and the oxidation state of carbon at it's para position changes from -1 to +2..so total number of electrons lost = 4
