iodoform test

NH2CH2C0CH3 gvs iodo test or not ??? [7]

Among primary alcohols ethanol gives +ve iodoform test,among secondary alcohols all the alcohols that can be oxidized to methyl ketone form will give +ve test

NH2CH2C0CH3 won't give positive test as most acidic hydrogen is in the amino group and not the alpha hydrogen of carbonyl group

similarly , ethyl aceto acetate also does not give haloform reaction because of the fact that another hydrogen in the compound is more acidic than the keto methyl hydrogen....hence the ketomethyl hydrogen is not replaced !!!!!
