A------>CH2OH-CH2OH
B------>COOH-COOH
C------>COOH-COOH
B---->CO2......may be
An organic cmp A which is used in d manufacture of dioxan on oxidation wit powerful oxidisin agent gives cmp B .. A on oxidation wit dil.nitric acid to give C...
IDENTIFY A,B,C.....
A------>CH2OH-CH2OH
B------>COOH-COOH
C------>COOH-COOH
B---->CO2......may be
i m not sure abt what glycol gives on oxdn with nitric acid......
is B CO2[7]
then i think C may be COOH-COOH
because
CH2OH-CH2OH -----Oxdn(with HNO3)---->COOH-COOH
COOH-COOH ----drastic oxdn----->CO2+H2O
hey...dude..plz tell the ans
or tell the oxidizing agent...i mean.... how powerful is it.....
as far as i know acidified K2Cr2O7 gives oxalic acid...which then gives CO2
if the ans is HCHO...then oxidizing agent is HIO4....it then gives HCOOH
plz tell me what the ans is.....
then i think they considered HIO4 as oxdn agent it gives HCOOH
