1c 2 inc C atoms
react the alkyl halide with KCN then hydrolysis of dat will give u acid then u can reduce it
to dec C atoms u can decarboxilate any acid formed.
1if you want to increase the no. of c atoms u can prefer wurtz reaction
39sumit please specify in which type of compounds u want to increase or decrease the number of carbon atoms etc etc.
