When Fehling's solution is added to aliphatic aldehyde like acetaldehye, acetic acid and red precipitate cuprous oxide are formed.
But when it reacts wid aromatic ald like benzaldehyde it converts into benzyl alcohol adn sodium benzoate. So, here no cuprous oxide is formed.
