first nitrate . then , alkylation with FeCl3 and chloro-2-methylpropane and then use LAH .this should do ti.

Maybe Sn/Hcl can b used instead of LAH otherwise i cudnt c ne prob in it...

UR 2nd pt. might be valid but for 1st pt. : dont v hav m-substituition in nitrobenzene!!!!
