i SOMWAY FEEL ANS GIVEN IN THE BOOK R NOT RITE THATS WHY VE PUT UP THE THREAD.....HOWEVER..I WILL GET IT CHECKED IN FEW HOURS
@ASISH:==UR ANS FOR 1 SEEMS RITE.....EXPLAIN WHY? BUT ANS 4 Q2..NOT RITE
@GOVIND==EXPLAIN ????
1.)order of heat of hydrogenation: a)1-hexene
b)2-hexene c)3-hexene d)1-cyclo-hexene 2.)order in which they wil ract with H+:

@ ASISH=EDITED...THANX
PLZ EXPLAIN TO ME WHY ...IV>I..MY DBT LL B CLEARD
avinav i have a doubt.....
waht is the difference between I and III in Q2 ???
Fr 1) See the relative stability w.r.t the no. of hyperconjugative Hydrogens present. So, tht way (b)-has 5 thus being the stablest & having the lowest heat of hydrogenation, then goes (c).
Cyclo hexane if formed wud come to stabler boat/chair conformation, so its heat of hydro. shud be greater than tht of c.
(a) ki will be the highest as the =bond stabilisation ke liye only 2 hydrogens available hain.
So, i think the answer given is correct.
Kisi ne kuch aur logic lagayaa ho toh bataa dena.
2) Seems 2b wrong.
1.a>d>c>b
2. I> IV> II> III.
NOW ..EXPLAIN UR ANS...
FOR 2....I AM DBTFUL WHETHER THE ANS IS RITE,,PLZ HELP
In qn. 1 Heat of hydrogenation α 1/ stability
so the answer shud be a > b > c > d.
in qn.2 see the stability of carbocation
so the answer shud be 2>1>3>4
Q1. is it a>d>c>b?
Q2. 2>1>3>4 ??
wow what a variety of answers (im also adding to the variety) [3]
SORY GUYS.now...i ve edited q2.. SRY avik n swaraj thats not the ans...
Now this is Egjactly the thread i wanted!...one on GOC, a hope fr some improvement :P.
1) A Pure Guess [3] - a>d>b>c.
Request : Lets keep the nxt 4-5 days fr revising goc completely here, qns & discussions ; shud benefit all.
'Coz i, n i know most of u might also be striving fr confidence in goc, try keep the thread alive...,,,,,......,,,,,...if Avinav dosen't mind :P.
