CH3 -CH2-O-CH2-CH3 +CONC HI=?

Frst H+ will attack on O which is a nucleophilic center.

now there will be a SN2 attack on CH2- which will yield

CH3 -CH2I + O-CH2-CH3

Now some of the alcohol also gets converted if the attack will take place on Ethanol...
